The activity has been structured for 5 days (from Monday to Friday), and took place in Brétigny-sur Orge, France. The central themes were “Sustainable mobility” and “Building and renovating”.
There were:
SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY
The first topic of this exchange “sustainable mobility” was to show the students, the teachers, the local communities, how we could anticipate and manage the impact of digital technology on transportation.
During this exchange the activities gave opportunities for students and teachers to identify and compare different types of transport in order to find the more sustainable. They used ICT and thought about new transports (public and private) in order to create a new green city. When staying in Timbaud High School, the students understood that the transportation systems around the modern world have been built on the verge of a significant transformation.
BUILDING AND RENOVATING
Students discussed and looked for information on the internet about what a green rooftop is, before reporting to the class: benefits of green rooftops and consequences of these benefits. Plus, students and teachers understood the importance of sustainability during building renovation.
